Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year.

My goal is to update this webpage with upcoming programs and information that will be useful to the RNESU employee. If you are unable to find an answer to your question within this page or menu, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR HEALTH/DENTAL IS NOW

Annually we offer an open enrollment period for employees who are eligible for health insurance to change their health insurance or dental insurance plans and coverages effective 1/1/17.  Any employee interested in changing should contact Brooke Towslee, HR Coordinator for appropriate paperwork.

Plan summary of benefits, and deduction cost can be reviewed at http://www.rnesu.org/humanresources/health-insurance or by calling the central office.

ALL employees must complete a Declaration of Health Care Coverage, even if you choose not to participate in RNESU health/dental benefits. Please complete and return to RNESU before NOVEMBER 30, 2016 

Employees who work at least 80% (four days or 30 hours), or a teacher between 50-80% must complete both forms (section 125 and declaration of health care). Please complete and return to RNESU before November 30, 2016

 

All forms can be obtained from your school secretary. 

EAP Onsites Are Back!

Come meet with EAP Counselor Lynn Bursell. Lynn is a licensed professional counselor with over 15 years of experience providing employee assistance services. She is trained in brief, solution focused counseling and she can be your conduit to resources within and beyond your employee EAP program.

VEHI HEALTH CARE PRESENTATION SEPTEMBER 28 7 PM @ OVUHS

The Rutland Northeast SU Board is hosting a session with VEHI, the folks who bring us our insurance plans, to share information with the board, interested faculty and staff and interested community members about the upcoming changes in health care options. These changes are scheduled to take place in Jan 2018, with new VEHI plans replacing current plans, and all employees will need to choose their plan by next November (2017). This is an opportunity to hear directly about the changes from VEHI reps directly in a one hour presentation/ question and answer session. 



Mandated Reporting

School employees are considered mandated reports of child abuse/neglect in the State of Vermont. Below you will find a link to a memo from the Department for Children and Families Family Services Division. Also, is a slideshow hitting on key points you should be aware of. 

Within the next week you will receive a mandatory training link from Safeschools.com. The purpose of Safeschools is to review the information provided below and to equip you, as the employee with the knowledge you need to react and handle certain situation with confidence.
