We are finally starting our tech committee meetings in early November.  If you want to learn more about technology at RNESU.  Then join the Tech Committee.  Or just join us for a meeting or two.  Either way join this group to become part of the conversation.  Click here to join the Tech Committee Group.  Then click Apply for Membership, fill out the form and Apply to this Group.
  • Our Goals - This year the committee will be looking at the Transformation, One-to-One and Bring Your Own Device planning.  What do those mean?  How do they work?  And for which classrooms?  What PD?  However, we will be focusing a good portion of our meeting time on disseminating technology information regarding new technologies, how to's, best practices etc; all in relation to the classroom.  This time will be spent learning in a supportive and collaborative environment from the tech team and more importantly from other teachers who are already effectively using the technology in the classroom.
  • When/Where - The Tech Committee meets monthly (starting in October) on Wednesday afternoons between 3:30 and 5:00PM.  That schedule will be confirmed when the core committee is assembled.  We usually make adjustments to the schedule to occasionally provide a meeting on another day for those who can't make Wednesdays.
  • Who - The Technology Committee needs representation at all grade levels and disciplines.  We require at least one teacher per school and from Special Education and Early Ed but we prefer two or three people.  This year we are going to ask that you try to get a substitute from your school if you are unable to attend.  Also, new this year, the Tech Committee is open to guests (teachers, paras, staff) who are interested in attending a meeting in order to learn or teach something about technology but can not regularly attend.
  • FYI - The Tech Committee Schedule will be posted on the RNESU Technology Portal.  Meeting agendas will be posted on the portal at least one week in advance for those who are interested in visiting.
