Integrating technology using Google Apps

RNESU teachers strive to integrate technologies that actively engage students' minds in the learning process; providing a rich medium for all students where creativity and critical thinking merge. Fortunately for us, we chose to integrate Google Apps for Education. GAFE has provided an educational platform accessible to teachers and students, alike. Across the curriculum, Google Apps enable students to actively design, create, collaborate, communicate, assess, and iterate; key components of authentic learning. It's a meeting space where teachers and students connect and collaborate with others in their classroom or with a classroom on the other side of the world, giving them the ability to communicate globally. There are many other apps and technologies we use to support an interactive learning environment, but none have impacted how we teach and learn with technology as broadly and deeply as Google Apps. It's amazing to see how teachers who integrate this handful of free technology tools in their curriculum have opened up new avenues for creative and active learning for their students.
