| | | Dear Neshobe Families and Caregivers,
As we head into the final days of March, we wanted to share both an important reminder and a small moment of encouragement.
VTCAP Testing Begins Next Week Students in grades 3–6 will begin the Vermont Comprehensive Assessment Program (VTCAP) next week. This statewide assessment, administered on computers, measures student learning in English Language Arts and Mathematics, with Science included for grade 5. The assessment is adaptive and includes tools to support accessibility, such as translation and speech-to-text features.
At Neshobe, our testing schedule is as follows: English Language Arts (Grades 3–6): March 30 – April 3 Mathematics (Grades 3–6): April 6 – April 10 Science (Grade 5): April 13 – April 17
Testing will take place during the regular school day. If a student is absent, they will complete the assessment during a designated makeup time within the testing window.
We ask for your support in helping students be set up for success each day by ensuring they are well-rested and have a good breakfast. These small routines make a meaningful difference.
Individual student reports will be shared once they become available and will provide a general overview of student progress in relation to Vermont’s academic standards. As always, these results are most meaningful when considered alongside classroom experiences and teacher insights.
Looking Ahead: Celebrations of Learning and Concerts As spring progresses, our grade levels will begin hosting Celebrations of Learning and concerts. Kindergarten through grade 2 will kick things off on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:00. More information about this evening, as well as future celebrations, is shared in this and future newsletters. We are excited for these opportunities to share student learning and joy with our community.
Sincerely, The Admin Team | | | Thank you to everyone who participated in the fundraiser and supported the 3-4 Hive!

On April 1st they will be spending two hours after school with our Student Council developing a concept and design for our mural. Once the design is set our entire school will work together to make the mural come alive.
Between April 8th - April 14th Juniper Creative Arts will spend an entire art class with every student in grades K-6. During that time students will be painting and creating artwork for the mural.
There will also be at least two after school events related to the mural. One will be an artist's talk when families and community members will be invited to hear Juniper Creative Arts talk about our mural process and their own artistic journey. Another will be a community paint day when family and community will be invited to Neshobe to pick up a paintbrush and work on the mural. More details will follow about both of these after school events. | | | | | | | | The Boys & Girls Club Summer Program at Neshobe has officially opened enrollment to families not currently enrolled.

Dear Neshobe Families and Caregivers,
RNESU is excited to offer summer programming for eligible students this July. Summit the Summer: Summer Learning Academy is a four-week program designed to support student growth in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.
The program will run Monday through Friday, from 8:00 to 11:00, beginning Monday, July 6, 2026, and ending Friday, July 31, 2026. Programming will take place at both Lothrop Elementary School and Neshobe School.
We will be coordinating with local summer day camps through Pittsford Recreation (Pittsford) and the Boys & Girls Club (Brandon) to help ensure a smooth transition for students participating in both Summit the Summer and afternoon camp opportunities.
Our goal during these four weeks is to help students strengthen essential academic skills, build confidence, and remain engaged in learning through a combination of hands-on activities and targeted academic support.
Eligible students will receive additional information and registration materials through their classroom teachers.
